Through the Tawteen symposium; 13 projects were identified and presented at the closing session. At this closing session organisations, academic institutions and companies pledged their support to specific projects.
Eight projects were progressed and are now in pilot stage. Each project has a private sector “Champion” and “steering groups” to help shape the projects for the UAE.
The 8 projects are:
1) Entrepreneurship & Innovation
2) Career Resource Centres
3) Career Guidance Counselling
4) Bridge to Success – Summer Programme
5) Vocational Awareness
6) Women in the Workplace
7) Leadership Academy
All projects have an Emiratisation focus to make sure they are sustainable. All projects are scalable across age groups and across the Emirates.
The aim is to strengthen and develop existing programmes, projects and initiatives as part of the development of the Tawteen Programme within the UAE. The focus is not to replicate existing work, but act as the unifying programme for dialogue and action.
